What I do

The work at The Notebook Consultancy is centred around understanding people, interpreting context, and translating this into clear brand direction. It typically helps solve challenges such as – lack of clarity on what the brand stands for, communication that isn’t landing or differentiated, uncertainty on where and how to grow.

It spans 3 interconnected areas:

1. BRAND STRATEGY

Shaping how brands are positioned, structured and expressed.

This typically involves defining or refining brand positioning, building or simplifying brand architecture, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth, developing communication strategy grounded in real consumer and cultural insight.

The outcome is a clearer, more focused brand direction that can guide decisions across teams and touch points.

2. CONSUMER RESEARCH & INSIGHT

Data becomes useful only when understood in context.

Designing and decoding research to uncover what truly drives behaviour. This includes quantitative research such as concept, product, price and communication testing as well as brand health and trigger – barrier analysis to exploratory qualitative work and category scans.

The focus is not just on generating data but on interpreting it meaningfully and translating it into actionable insight.

3. STRATEGY COLLECTIVE

Working with teams to build strategic thinking and problem solving capability.

This includes tailored training sessions, strategy and research workshops and hands on working sessions on live business challenges with all hands on deck.

The outcome is stronger internal alignment and clearer decision making across teams.

Each engagement is shaped by the specific context and challenge at hand, with the objective of arriving at clarity that is both insightful and actionable.
